Job Description

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic finance director to join our leadership team at a dynamic and growing 30m turnover group based in Edinburgh. This is a pivotal role responsible for driving business growth, shaping financial strategy, and providing leadership across the business and support to the Managing Director. The role will require collaboration with teams in all areas of the business and a hands-on approach within the Finance Function initially.

Key responsibilities:

Partner with Managing Director to shape and deliver the long-term business strategy.

Provide financial insight and analysis to support key business decisions and growth initiatives.

Identify new opportunities for revenue generation, margin improvement, and operational efficiency.

Deliver proactive analysis of revenues and costs to maximise profitability and identify risks early.

Financial Management and reporting:

Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and management reporting.

Ensure robust financial controls, governance and compliance with all statutory requirements.

Deliver timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting to the Leadership team.

Manage the companies' banking requirements and relationships and ensure covenant compliance across all debt facilities.

Team Development & leadership:

Lead, mentor and develop the existing finance team, building capacity and capability for future growth.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and high performance.

Cross- Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with all departments including operations, sales and marketing, HR and IT - to align financial planning with broader business objectives.

Act as a strategic adviser and business partner across the group.

Systems and processes:

Enhance financial systems and processes to support scalability and improved decision- making

Drive automation and efficiency in reporting and financial operations

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
