Applications are invited for the post of Faculty Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience to provide leadership for Student Service, Support and Delivery, eLearning and TLSE Team Operations within the TLSE Team, and to lead a number of strategic, TLSE focused projects for the Faculty of Humanities.

The Faculty of Humanities aspires to be one of the most successful faculties of its kind. The largest Faculty in the University, it consists of around 22,000 taught students, approximately 1,350 academic staff and 650 professional services staff, with an annual income of over \xc2\xa3350 million. The Faculty is made up four Schools; Arts, Languages and Cultures; Environment, Education and Development; Alliance Manchester Business School; and Social Sciences, all led by the Dean and Vice-President, Professor Fiona Devine. The Faculty\'s current Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience (TLSE) will be taking up a secondment opportunity from 1st September as Deputy Director of Faculty Operations. This post will provide backfill for 50% of the existing responsibilities and provide capacity in the Faculty for strategic TLSE project work. The standard job description for the Faculty Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience has been adapted to reflect the specific responsibilities for this fixed term opportunity.

Applications are invited for the post of Faculty Head of Teaching, Learning and Student Experience to provide leadership for Student Service, Support and Delivery, eLearning and TLSE Team Operations within the TLSE Team. The Deputy Director of Faculty Operations will retain leadership of the Application and Admissions function strategic planning for TLSE, as part of their continuing Head of TLSE responsibilities.

The Head of Faculty TLSE is responsible to the Deputy Director of Faculty Operations for managing and directing the overall provision of TLSE operations within their areas of remit for the Faculty team to ensure that the Faculty\'s academic programmes at undergraduate and taught postgraduate level are delivered appropriately and the student experience is positive. This includes provision of strategic advice to the Vice Dean for Teaching, Learning and Student Experience and the Associate Deans who provide academic leadership in this function area. They will work closely with senior academic and Professional Services colleagues in Schools across the faculty, the Directorate for Student Experience and wider university to ensure consistency of policy, processes, structure, and procedures, and to disseminate and embed best practice.

The post is available as 0.8fte for two years.
