We are proudly supporting our client is their search for a Head of Distillery Operations to oversee the running of the current operations on Bathgate and Elgin. As a key part of the leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the the transformation strategy is delivered through developing robust processes and leading the teams through change and investment for growth. You will ensure that compliance across your areas is achieved and built into the teams and their ways of working.

A key aspect of the role is to develop and deliver the distilling strategy for the sites and support the team to achieve the objectives and goals. As the leader of your area, you will be responsible for building budgets, reporting and developing key KPI\'s and measurables for your area. Your areas of responsibility are areas that perform well but are undergoing further investment so this role will be responsible for taking the teams to the next level.

So what are we looking for from you?

People skills in abundance are high on our list of requirements and being able to demonstrate your experience in building strong teams, succession planning and leading through change. Technical expertise in distilling is key, you will oversee both malt and grain distilling plants so having knowledge and experience in this area will be important, understanding the impact of new technologies being introduced, the impact of raw materials and how to manage energy consumption in these environments (whilst they continue to grow) will be key. Being able to support the General Manager in achieving key business objectives and build strong relationships with your peers in the leadership team to work together and achieve goals. Being organised and fluent in data management and reporting along with the ability to communicate at all levels.

These roles are rarely available and particularly with a base in Central Scotland. This is a rare opportunity and it will take a rare individual but the opportunities are endless
