ABOUT THE TEAM

The Corporate Partnerships team at UNICEF UK secures and manages long term, multi-million-pound partnerships with major UK companies.

The team is split into two sub-teams - Partnership Development for the management and growth of current partners, and Business Development for the acquisition of new corporate supporters. We have built a significant track record of income growth managing a range of high value corporate partnerships spanning long term strategic partners, commercial opportunities (including customer engagement), and emergency funding. In 2023, the Corporate Partnerships team is raising circa \xc2\xa323.2m with ambitious plans for growth over the current 4-year strategic cycle.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Development sub-team is focused on building the new business pipeline, increasing the variety and volume of our partnerships, and ensuring all relationships align with business objectives to deliver for the partner and for children. This role leads the team in developing strategic, long-term partnerships with top UK companies, through building a proactive culture to growth. Additionally, the role co-leads the Corporate Partnerships team, so will work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships - Partnership Development.

What we will expect you to achieve:

Jointly lead the Corporate Partnerships team, working alongside the Head of Corporate Partnerships - Partnership Development to ensure there is a united and seamless corporate approach across the Partnerships strategy, jointly leading on operational plans, budgeting, reporting, and monitoring, and providing the new business focus.

Lead on building a \xc2\xa3multi-million, multi-year new business strategy and pipeline, securing high-value and long-term income through new national and international partnerships with UK Headquartered businesses, focussing on areas of highest return.

Lead the Business Development team providing effective and inspiring team leadership and line management building a proactive culture to growth and ensuring all insights are being captured on relevant databases i.e., SRM and KPI\'s are being monitored to drive the expected growth.

Accurately budget, forecast and identify risks and opportunities within the new business portfolio to deliver the Business Development team\'s agreed annual income targets. Manage and monitor risk, particularly through the UK and global screening process and the UK risk register.

Champion the departmental strategy and ensure it is the guiding tool for the team, decision making and prioritisation.

Relevant experience

Experience of team leadership and line management

A proven track record of securing and developing 6/7 figure corporate partnerships including the end-to-end contractual processes.

Experience of strategic planning, developing, and monitoring annual plans, income and expenditure budgets.

Specific knowledge and skills

Knowledge of the external fundraising environment, corporate trends/challenges, and an understanding of regulations that affect corporate partnerships.
