Tempus Community Projects creates sports and mentorship hubs designed to support vulnerable young people. These hubs offer safe spaces where children, youth and marginalized individuals can access professional role models, tailored sports training and meaningful mentorship. Overview
The Head of the CIC/Charity will play a pivotal role in leading our community interest company and charitable initiatives. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about making a difference and possesses strong leadership skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that promote our mission, engage stakeholders and enhance the overall impact of our organisation.
Duties
Lead the strategic direction of the CIC/charity, ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
Develop educational programmes that inform and empower the community about our initiatives and services.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, partners, and funders.
Oversee fundraising efforts to secure financial support for projects and programmes.
Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and compliance with regulations.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programmes, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
Represent the organisation at public events, conferences, and meetings to raise awareness of our work.
Lead a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
Proven experience in a leadership role within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
Strong understanding of community engagement principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and implement them effectively.
Experience in fundraising and securing grants is highly desirable.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
A passion for social impact and commitment to the values of the organisation.
A sporting or military background is preferable, although not essential.
