Welcome to Sonder, your new neighbourhood bistro. This is a new, independant restaurant that will open on the 18th of April, based in the Canton / Pontcanna area.

Sonder has a chef owner, who has a passion for hospitality, having worked in professional kitchens for over 13 years. We are looking to add into this small but experienced core team that already exists. We really value having fun at work, and believe the vibe runs through the restaurant and resinates with our guests.

We believe in premium service and ingredients, but are dedicated to making a relaxed and welcoming vibe. All of our food is made in house, alongside in house butchery and baking.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for a new challenge, who wants to be a part of a new restaurant opening from the first day, as well as the opportunity to grow with the company and be at the forefront of all new opportunities that could present themself in the future. It is a chance to work alongside a chef owner who has been an executive chef of a large restaurant group and also worked in 3 michelin star establishments.

The sous chef role with include the following responsibilities;

- Daily Orders

- Helping manage the kitchen brigade / kp team.

- Working closely with local suppliers and helping build strong relationships.

- Look after the profitability of the kitchen and ensure it is consistent in GP %.

- Creating new dishes and helping with an ever changing menu.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
