We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping operations within our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, particularly within the hotel sector, and will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation throughout the property. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing an outstanding guest experience.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, ensuring all areas are cleaned to the highest standards. Train, mentor, and manage housekeeping staff, fostering a positive work environment. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary. Address guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including staff performance and inventory usage.

Experience

Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory role within the hospitality or hotel industry is essential. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Proven ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of service. Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail. Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and staff alike. Ability to work flexible hours as required by the needs of the business.
