Position Overview: The Head Greenkeeper at Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club is a pivotal role responsible for the maintenance and development of our stunning golf course. After the retirement of our current Head Greenkeeper, who dedicated an incredible 50 years of service to our club, we are looking for an experienced and passionate individual to lead our dedicated greenkeeping team. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance, ensuring it is maintained to the highest standards. Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance plan, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
• Lead and motivate the greenkeeping team, providing guidance and training as necessary.
• Monitor and manage the budget for the greenkeeping department.
• Maintain an inventory of equipment and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and procurement. Collaborate with the club management to plan and execute course improvements and developments.
• Foster a culture of environmental stewardship and sustainability in course maintenance practices.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in golf course maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Knowledge of golf course management, turf care, and landscaping practices.
• Familiarity with the latest industry technologies and equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
