As our practice is growing in size, we are looking for a friendly, patient-focused dental nurse to join our expanding team. Oradent Dental Care treats both NHS and private patients in the local community.
Supporting You:
The successful candidate will be fully supported by the site Practice Manager and site Assistant Manager. In addition to this you will also receive the support of our Operations Team; which currently includes: Operations Director, Business Support Managers, Quality and Compliance Manager, Finance team, HR Team, Performance and Marketing Team and the Practice Principals & Owners

Hours:
42.5 hours per week,
Shift Pattern:
Monday - Saturday, Flexible shift pattern
Full-time role, permanent contract.
The role of a Head Dental Nurse is to support the nursing team to work alongside and assist Dentists and Hygienists in the care of patients. With the view to achieve excellent customer service, quality and delivery of performance that are in line with company strategy, goals and values.
Overview of Role:
Lead, mentor and supervise your Dental Nurse Team
Assist in rota management and Team Meetings
Be Infection Control Lead
Stock Management
Be a champion of delivering CQC standards, audits and assessments
To update patient records keeping in with GDPR policies
Be familiar with all the dental services we offer.
Be confident to work with computerised dental systems (training will be given in Dentally)
Keep full, accurate and contemporaneous patient record when required
Monitor, support and reassure patients along with giving appropriate patient advice.
Support the patient and their colleagues if there is a medical emergency.
Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals.
Ensure surgeries are well stocked/maintained at all times.
Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent
GDC Registration
NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing (or equivalent)
Desirables
Qualified Dental Practice Nursing: 2 years (preferred).
Skills
Must have strong sense of integrity and strong values
Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality and personal appearance.
Excellent communication skill and ability to prioritise.
Able to demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability
Maintain high standards of patient care
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required.
Deliver high standards of care to our patients
