About us:

The Angel View Hotel is a small independent family run business comprising of 27 hotel rooms, 3 function/events suites and our bar/restaurant.

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated experienced Chef. A Chef who will build the restaurant's reputation and increase sales and profitability. Standards will be centric to your role, ensuring all our customers have a fantastic experience.

The menu is typically 'pub grub' with daily specials and a very popular Sunday Carvery. We also cater for events which usually will consist of buffet menus, however does include weddings, where we offer wedding breakfast as well.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food preparation and cooking processes. A great leader as well as a good team player, leading your team effectively and fostering a high performing team environment. Train and mentor kitchen personnel, enhancing their culinary skills and hospitality knowledge. Maintain budgets, plan resources and will be responsible for food costing, ordering, wastage and portion control Collaborate with restaurant management to develop and implement menu items. Be fully versed on current and upcoming health and safety legislation and hygiene regulations effecting the kitchen and will ensure compliance at all times.

What we need from you...

Previous experience of working in a similar role Previous experience of managing a kitchen team Relevant qualifications are desirable Knowledge of food costing, budget control and relevant Health and Safety policies Reliable and flexible with a real passion

Pay: 38,000.00-40,000.00 per year
