We're Hiring: Head Chef - Full Time

Location: The Plough Inn, Lebberston, Filey, YO11 3NX
Salary: 22,500 - 29,000 per year (based on experience)

Head Chef

About the Role

You'll take the lead in running a kitchen team of around 20, including a second chef and kitchen assistants. The role includes:

Overseeing day-to-day kitchen operations Ordering stock and maintaining stock accountability Ensuring exceptionally high standards of cleanliness - cleaning is a BIG part of this role Managing busy service periods with calm and control Training and supporting kitchen staff Contributing to menu development and creating exciting specials Calculating costs and achieving gross profit (GP) targets
About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience as a Head Chef or in a similar senior kitchen role Is cool-headed, organised, and thrives under pressure Can lead, support, and motivate a busy team Has a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness Is creative, driven, and passionate about food Presents themselves professionally and takes pride in their kitchen
