We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and ambitious Head Chef with a real passion for food. Located in the heart of Finsbury Park, Maldron Hotel Finsbury is the first Dalata Hotel to be opened in London under the Maldron Brand. The famous Finsbury Park and Emirates Stadium are only a stone\xe2\x80\x99s throw away, whilst other London landmarks are all within a five-mile radius. Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:

• Creating \'WOW\' dishes to suit our guest\xe2\x80\x99s needs
• Driving sales through centrally driven menu planning and promotions
• Taking responsibility for food production with a hands-on approach
• Facilitate budgetary control and monitor all costs involved in the kitchen against agreed budgets
• Responsible for all aspects of food safety, HS and COSHH
• Mentor our skilled and ambitious culinary staff
• Responsible for all health and safety standards and food management systems(HACCP)
• Ensuring stock is properly rotated and products are ordered in time from our various suppliers with attention paid to stock levels
• Be energetic and have a friendly disposition, strong interpersonal skills and a good team player

Requirements Include:

• Proven experience in managing and leading a kitchen team
• Unrelenting focus on quality
• Qualification in culinary arts or similar is desired, but not essential
• Knowledge of working to a budget and achieving GP
• Should be able to demonstrate flair, creativity and skills in the kitchen
• Should possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative
• A personal desire to be developed and to learn in your role
• Ability to lead the successful operations of the kitchen
• Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the business
