Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills to perform various maintenance and repair tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting. Respond promptly to repair requests and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner. Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to identify issues and ensure everything is functioning correctly. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety standards are met. Assist with installations of fixtures, fittings, and appliances as required. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service. Keep accurate records of work completed and materials used.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of various repair techniques and maintenance procedures. Ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail. Good physical condition and stamina for manual labour tasks. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. A valid driving licence is advantageous but not essential. Certification in relevant fields (e.g., plumbing, electrical) is a plus but not mandatory.
