About our Client
We are working retained for our client on a Group Technical Director role, the business is a multi-site fresh produce packer into all the major retailers with sites across the UK.
About the Role
As Group Technical Director you will lead the business on Food Safety, Legality, Quality, Innovation and Sustainability agendas across customers, packhouses, 3rd party packhouses and suppliers, ensuring all customer, regulatory and compliance obligations are delivered.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to have a proven track record of working in a Senior Technical role within a fresh produce business. Have good experience of dealing and managing suppliers and growers. Experience of dealing with retail customers. Good auditing knowledge of suppliers. Have experience of being part of a sustainability strategy and the ability to drive the technical agenda forward. Good knowledge of fresh produce either fruit, vegetables or salad is essential.
This is a multi-site role so the ability to travel is a must-have
