We are seeking to recruit a Group Lead to lead a team and all production activities within area of responsibility.

The Role

Oversee the production department of responsibility to ensure production of quality products to meet production needs and customer specification and achieve performance targets (KPI's). Good attention to detail. Able to use own initiative, flexibility with hours and area of cover. Forward thinking, and can do attitude. Involvement in continuous improvement to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiencies through the development of people, process and systems. Ensure the operational facility is always at an acceptable standard and 'audit ready' at all times. Plan and control staffing levels, overtime and any other staffing requirements. Production of daily/weekly management KPIs/reports/QSHE and present at team huddles along with any other announcements to staff. Endorse and support lean processes within project teams as required. Cover Production Manager duties when required.

The Person:

Previous experience within a FMCG environment, ideally within food production processing. Lead by example, motivate, and communicate with a diverse team implementing Gilfresh Values. Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and the ability to drive a new safety culture within your production facility with a zero tolerance approach to breaches of H&S. People management skills together with strong planning and organisational skills. The ability to problem solve, work well under pressure with a 'can do' attitude. Adaptable to change management as business requires. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good standard of numeracy and literacy. The ability to complete both written and computerised production records, end of shift reports, accident investigations, and carry out performance reviews. Flexibility to support the business needs, working shifts and/or weekends as per rota.
