We are seeking a versatile and collaborative Group Finance Controller to join our dynamic finance team.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, most likely holding an ACA qualification and will likely have a minimum of 8 years post qualification experience in a software business and have trained in a top 4 accountancy practice. The chosen candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, being comfortable at operating at a senior level, and have demonstrable success in rapidly growing environments and leading teams, in either a listed or PE backed company environment. They will be numerate, with strong data skills, have excellent attention to detail, and be highly organised.
Key Responsibilities
Leading a UK based Group team, but interacting and influencing a geographically diverse team, and delegating for the Finance Director as necessary
Global review and co-ordination of month end close and consolidation, monthly forecasting, delivering the monthly management accounts and board reporting
Running the annual budget and 5-year plan process to achieve alignment around financial goals and objectives.
Delivery of group and company external financial statements, including managing the audit process
Ownership of the Group Finance timetable, ensuring regional and group finance teams hit internal and external deadlines, leading P&L and Balance sheet reviews.
Managing treasury, including cashflow forecasting and optimising cash management. Maintaining a focus on cost and cash management throughout the business
Act as an advisor on technical accounting to the rest of the finance team, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and correct revenue recognition.
Overseeing systems implementations and process improvements throughout the organisation
Maintaining and building external relationships with banks, auditors, insurance brokers and other advisors as necessary
Ensuring timely compliance with all external reporting requirements

Location
IQGeo operate a hybrid working pattern with a minimum of 2 days a week in our Cambridge office. Given the international nature of the Group and the aspects of the role, an element of international travel may be expected.
