Group Financial Accounting And Reporting Manager On A 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Grafton Banks Finance is currently recruiting for a Group Financial Accounting and Reporting Manager on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract to join a fast-growing insurance firm in West Sussex with significant working from home options. This is a fantastic time to join the firm \xe2\x80\x93 the Group has seen unprecedented growth in recent years, creating numerous opportunities within their finance department.
Covering for a period of maternity leave, you\'ll co-lead the team and service being responsible for business and regulatory changes, assessment of changes, accounting policy, processes and associated controls. With experience in reconciliation and maintaining audit trails, you\'ll ensure proportionate safeguarding to wipe out the risk of fraud, error or omission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accountable for the Group\xe2\x80\x99s close cycle, ensuring it is performed within the timetable in a controlled and accurate manner
- Design and maintain efficient and effective second line controls within the function through reconciliation and maintaining audit trails to ensure proportionate safeguarding the risk of fraud, error or omission
- Ensure adherence to the group\xe2\x80\x99s wider financial control framework, ensuring timely and accurate financial record keeping is maintained at all times
To be considered for this opportunity you will be a qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with experience in a group accounting function across multiple tax and regulatory jurisdictions, and you\xe2\x80\x99ll know insurance accounting, IFRS or UK GAAP.
