Role: Group Accountant

Location: Manchester City Centre

Salary: Up to \xc2\xa355k

Our client, a market leading Technology business headquartered in Manchester City Centre are currently searching for an ambitious Group Accountant to join their team.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, you will be working collaboratively across some of the businesses within the Group.

This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified Accountant with a strong controls background looking for their first step into industry.

This is a really varied, exciting position where day to day, you will be responsible for the following:

• Ownership of management accounts for some Group entities, including full P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow
• Reporting of monthly management accounts with balance sheet and cash flow analysis in line with deadlines.
• Management of bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations
• Planning and delivery of Group audit and corporation tax filings to agreed timescales.
• Collate models for annual budget process, working closely with business unit leads.
• Group tax management and compliance around VAT, CT, payroll taxes etc.
• Quarterly VAT submissions for all businesses in the division, with support from team.
• Process mapping of finance activities to identify efficiencies and cost saving opportunities.
• Additional project work to support expansion plans.
• Ad hoc tasks as required by senior finance and operational team.

Requirements:

• You will be an ACA/ ACCA Qualified practice trained Accountant
• A strong communicator (both written and verbal) with attention to detail
• Organised with excellent time management skills
• Able to prioritise, and work to deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a relationship builder
