Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to groundworks, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. All our work is local to our depot.

Duties

Carry out groundwork tasks including excavation, drainage installation, and site preparation. Operate machinery and tools safely and effectively as required for various tasks. Assist in the construction of foundations, pathways, and other structures as directed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met. Report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is advantageous but not essential. Ability to operate basic construction machinery (e.g., diggers, dumpers) is preferred. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site. A valid driving licence is beneficial for transportation purposes. Commitment to health and safety practices in the workplace. Valid CPCS/NPORS or equivalent tickets.
