Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks related to groundworks, including site preparation, excavation, and assisting with the installation of utilities. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Carry out site preparation activities including clearing, levelling, and grading of land. Assist in excavation work for foundations, trenches, and drainage systems. Support the installation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity lines. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively. Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety standards are met. Collaborate with other team members to ensure project deadlines are achieved. Follow all health and safety regulations on-site to minimise risks.

Requirements

Previous experience in groundworks or a related field is preferred but not essential. Ability to operate basic construction machinery is advantageous. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration. Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors. A valid driving licence is desirable but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 19.00-21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 50 per week

Monday to Friday Weekend availability
