Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundworker to join our team. The Groundworker will play a crucial role in various construction projects, ensuring that groundwork is completed to the highest standards. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain sites for construction by clearing debris and levelling ground. Operate machinery and tools safely to assist in excavation and groundwork tasks. Lay foundations, drainage systems, and other groundwork as required. Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project timelines are met. Follow health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly. Assist in the installation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity where applicable.

Qualifications

Previous experience in groundwork or a related field is essential. A valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card is preferred. Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual labour tasks. Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to achieving project goals. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and supervisors. A proactive attitude towards health and safety practices on site.
