Grant & Finance Officer

Salary : \xc2\xa326,000

Cognition Learning Group is seeking an experienced Grant & Finance Officer professional to Support high-quality programme delivery and grant payment process.

This role sits within the Teacher Mentoring Programme team, reporting to the Head of Finance UK, working alongside a team of finance officers; you will help to provide support for all aspects of the grant process in accordance with agreed work plans.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring that robust project management processes and procedures are implemented and continuously improved.
• Working closely with the Teacher Mentoring Programme Manager and Officer to review and finalise progress reports from FE providers
• Overseeing the submission of provider progress reports, claim forms and updating tracking information to record the receipt of documentation
• Producing detailed expenditure lists, ensuring budget overview for each service with a full understanding of the cost of each service and the level of grant funding required to maintain it.
• Attending performance and reporting meetings with the Department for Education to update on grant spend
• Answering and responding to queries on the Teacher Mentoring Programme
• Be proactive in recognising and addressing areas of assistance that partners and clients require.

To be considered you will:

• Proven ability to work in and across teams
• Desirable experience in grant management
• Experience of working with finance processes and procedures, including recording income and expenditure
• Confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple/competing priorities
• Excellent Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proven problem-solving skills
