Caladen Consultants is a well-established and growing energy consultancy. Due to recent expansion, we are seeking a motivated and capable Graduate or Junior Energy Engineer to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
You will be involved in delivering energy surveys across a variety of sectors, from education to industrial buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and growing consultancy with a strong track record in energy and carbon reduction.
Key Responsibilities
Carrying out on-site surveys of building services and industrial processes for a range of clients in the public, commercial, and industrial sectors
Identifying and quantifying opportunities for energy and carbon savings
Producing clear, detailed reports and contributing to the development of:
Carbon Management Plans
Heat Decarbonisation Plans
Net Zero strategies
Supporting clients with energy compliance and funding schemes such as:
Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS)
Streamlined Energy & Carbon Reporting (SECR)
Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS)
Collecting, reviewing, and analysing energy data to inform projects
Working collaboratively with the wider team to recommend practical, energy-efficient solutions
Applying engineering principles to improve building and process efficiency
Key Requirements
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within buildings and industrial environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail
A team player who can also work independently when needed
Fluent in English
Full UK driving licence and access to own transport
Ideally degree-qualified in an energy, engineering, or sustainability-related discipline with 2 or more years' practical experience in undertaking and delivering energy audits.
