The Role
West Midland Safari Park is currently sourcing candidates for the role of CSR Officer.
The successful candidate will be responsible in assisting with the CSR strategies to help support the overall growth, performance and sustainability of the park by contributing to the delivery of the park's CSR Strategy and coordinate all the environmental & social impact of its activities.
The role will also align with The Looping Group Sustainability Director to integrate the group key strategic pillars to your own roadmap (Environment - waste management, energy, water -, social, animal welfare, local communities, etc.)
The ideal candidate will bring an infectious energy and passion for all aspects of CSR and be someone with a key interest and focus on all things CSR, who is self-motivated to achieve success and drive positive and proactive change through diligence and being able and willing to think ahead.
Key responsibilities:
Monitor regulatory evolution on ESG and ensure the park's environmental compliance
Structure and organize an ESG Committee into the park with the key managers
Define a roadmap and ESG targets for the park
Collect and report the ESG data for the park and share during the key reporting moment of the group
Be the guarantor of the parks animal welfare and conservation policy
Analyse the park's carbon footprint and define a roadmap to reduce the park's carbon emissions
Implement good practices into the park and communicate the actions to the visitors to attract them and improve their satisfaction
Contribute to the Looping Group ESG ambassadors' community once a month
Involve internally you co-workers with the organization of internal solidary events
Stay updated on changes to UK legislation and industry standards affecting CSR and compliance.
Prepare and present regular reports on CSR activities, compliance audits, and sustainability performance metrics for senior management and external stakeholders.
Measure and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to environmental, and governance objectives.
About you
To be considered for interview your experience and skills set should demonstrate:
A Graduate level qualification or equivalent or previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience in the leisure or events industry is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience of coordinating corporate environmental and social activities
Experience of conservation/animal welfare
Coordination and implementation of initiatives to reduce carbon emissions
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
The ability to work under your own initiative is key with the adaptability for change in a fast-paced customer facing environment.
