Sherwood Forest Hospitals are currently seeking a dedicated Governance Support Officer to join our dynamic administration team in the Women & Childrens Division at King's Mill Hospital.The Governance Support Officer will play a pivotal role in providing administrative support to the Women & Children Governance Teams, Matron for Maternity Governance and the Maternity Governance Team. Your efforts will contribute to the smooth and effective performance of duties, making a direct and positive impact on the team's work.You will have a large amount of autonomy and as a result you'll need to be comfortable working independently and taking accountability for your own workload.Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing exceptional administrative support, including planning and minuting governance meetings across Women & Children Division
  • Supporting preparation of reports and documents of a confidential nature.
  • Support staff diary management.
  • Contributing directly to the positive and efficient functioning of the Governance team.

  • Educated to NVQ 2 level in a relevant subject or equivalent level of qualification or significant equivalent previous proven experience
  • GSCE in English C or above
  • Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems
  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and soft-ware programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Access
  • Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act
  • Knowledge of NHS issues

  • Experience of working with data and presenting data analysis in clear accessible ways
  • RSA II Typing/equivalent qualification
