A day in the life of a GDP Officer
As a GDP Officer here at Wockhardt, you will be supporting the Responsible Person/RPi in ensuring Wockhardt UK is complaint with the requirements of GDP, ensuring time and temperature-sensitive medicinal products are stored and transported appropriately, along with ensuring products remain within the legal supply chain at all times via supporting the customer/supplier qualification process and working closely with the various sales/purchasing departments.
You'll assist in the processing of product returns, ensuring all necessary information is available to enable the Responsible Person to determine product disposition.
You'll be conducting audits of the various departments involved in GDP activities according to the internal audit schedule, helping to evidence ongoing compliance and identifying opportunities for improvement, along with supporting external audits of transport providers.
You'll be approving transport risk assessments for the often complex transport arrangements for export shipments that often incorporate packaging solutions to mitigate risks at transition points, ensuring medicines reach those in need in good condition wherever they may be in the world.
You'll use your GDP knowledge and experience to support the review and amendment of procedures specifically relating to GDP activities, along with handling/supporting the raising/processing/closing of CAPAs, deviations, change controls and complaints via an electronic quality management system.
What we're looking for
You need to be highly motivated with a drive to succeed, you'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to manage multiple projects and tasks, often with tight deadlines. Having a relevant degree level qualification or equivalent in a biological discipline is essential, as is a good knowledge EU GMDP with internal/external auditing experience, along with experience in quality assurance.
You should have good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships, along with a flexible approach and the ability to work using your own initiative or as part of a team.
