Get Golfing CIO, a charity with a mission to make golf more accessible for all, is seeking an experienced Salesperson to join our team at Eastbourne Downs Golf Club as a Golf Sales Assistant.
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a thriving and dynamic organisation which manages and operates 13 sites with 7,000 members and over 160,000 visitors each year.
The successful candidate will be part of a 20m revenue company of over 400 people which reinvests profits from its operations into its venues, courses, the development of its people, and importantly, community oriented charitable initiatives local to its sites.
Our model is to maximise revenue through memberships, golf days, events, functions, and F&B. We say that "our courses are for golfers while our clubhouses are for everyone".

Role Purpose
As a Golf Sales Assistant, your main goal is to help drive revenue and grow our golfing community by supporting all aspects of golf-related sales and guest experiences. You'll assist with membership and golf day bookings, build strong relationships with our customers, and ensure every visitor receives outstanding service. Working closely with the General Manager and wider operations team, you'll play a key role in delivering seamless golf events, supporting strategic sales initiatives, and helping to grow the club's profile.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales Support: Help grow our membership base by responding to inquiries, following up on leads, and assisting with outbound communications. Support efforts to meet annual new member targets.
Golf Day Coordination: Assist with the promotion, booking, and organization of golf days to help reach quarterly and annual sales goals.
Client Relations: Build rapport with members, guests, event organizers, and local businesses to encourage loyalty and repeat visits.
Lead Generation & Networking: Support lead generation activities by managing databases, and helping with follow-ups.
Sales Reporting: Keep records of bookings, update CRM systems, and help compile basic reports on sales activities and performance.
Customer Experience: Ensure every customer has a smooth and enjoyable journey--from their first inquiry through to the day of play--delivering a friendly, professional service throughout.
Working within the Team: Work hand-in-hand with the General Manager and golf operations team to deliver an excellent golf experience while spotting opportunities to grow sales.

Requirements
Knowledge
Previous experience in a sales, customer service, or event coordination role--ideally within hospitality, leisure, or golf.
A good understanding of the golf industry or enthusiasm to learn about golf and golf course operations.
Experience supporting revenue-generating activities such as membership sales, event bookings, or promotions.
A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and supporting business growth.
Skills
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CRM or booking systems.
Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support colleagues.
Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical, guest-focused decisions.
Comfortable engaging with guests, members, and corporate clients in a professional, approachable manner.
