Senior Unified Communications Engineer/Architect | Voice and Video (AV/VC) Engineer/Architect

• Job Type: Permanent
• Salary: \xc2\xa3100k to \xc2\xa3120k (Based on candidate experience)

About the Client & Role:

My client, a high profile, globally operating financial organisation, require a highly experienced Unified Communications Specialist to become a key figure within their global network architecture team.

The candidate will be responsible for providing SME level technical input and architecture to the Global communications environment, with the expectation of ensuring the continual development and support for the complex, global Unified Comms, Voice and Video (AV/VC) conferencing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as technical specialist/subject matter expert for the global Voice and Video systems
• Provide hands-on engineering input for Unified Comms & AV/VC (when required)
• Act as architect to produce plans and roadmaps for AV/VC and multimedia services
• Operational management of global voice and video environment
• Supporting video conferencing end points (Cisco series phones)
• Support of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
• Interface with vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
• Communicate the strategic vision across stakeholders
• Prepare appropriate budgets and specifications for projects

Essential Candidate Requirement:

• Strong background within financial environments (highly desirable)
• Strong ability in enterprise design/architecture for Unified Comms - AV/VC
• SME level technical knowledge of audio/video conferencing and collaboration technology
• In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of all related Cisco enterprise conferencing, collaboration and Back End products (eg CUCM, Jabber, Unity, WebEx, TelePresence, TMS, Expressway)
• Up-to-date knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
• Knowledge of SIP Trunking/Session Border Controllers configuration
• Strong working knowledge of multiple AV/VC platforms.
