Job Description

We are looking for a commercially driven team player to fill a newly created Global Newstrade manager position that will offer you the chance to be responsible for global newstrade strategies alongside publishers ideally positioned to take advantage of opportunities available in UK and International retailers for the right type of product and at the right time!

You will be part of a friendly, fast-paced and creative team that has already had a significant profit impact on a number of clients (both new and existing) by introducing them to exciting profitable opportunities following trends in the markets and targeting book content that has not been available on the newsstand before. By joining our team, you will be an integral part in the continued success of this exciting approach.

The Global Newstrade Manager - gives Seymour clients one point of contact in this highly commercial role. The job holder will work with clients to target profitable sales and develop new product for the global (UK and International) newstrade channel. They will achieve this by:

• Being the clients\xe2\x80\x99 trusted advisor, providing strategic input into UK and International newstrade circulation plans that drive profit for both the client and Seymour.
• Tailoring the right opportunities that drive profitable newstrade sales and maximise trade marketing investment in line with individual publisher commercial models.
• Working with clients and the International Territory & UK Retail teams to develop new product launches that achieve profitable global sales.
• Working with the International Controllers and the International Bookazine & Territory Manager to target potential new business both from within the current portfolio but also targeting new clients (e.g. Book publishers)

Essential Skills

• A commercial approach always taking into account the clients and Seymour\xe2\x80\x99s\xe2\x80\x99 business models.
• Excellent inter-personal skills, able to communicate, negotiate, persuade and build relationships at all levels.
• Highly accountable and able to make the right decisions under pressure.
• Advanced presentation skills
• Self-motivated and willing to challenge the status quo if there is a better way.
• Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.
• Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Desired Skills

• Account Management experience gained through delivery of key objectives is desirable but exceptional candidates without will be considered and offered training in role if successful.
