:Global Equine Science & Nutrition Director - Mars HorsecareBased in Milton Keynes, UK, or Dallas, US - hybrid working arrangement with a variable level of travel requiredPurpose & Scope:Over the last few decades Mars has helped to improve the health, behaviour, welfare and performance of horses globally through its portfolio of products and services and involvement with equine charities, as well as the impactful relevant research it has undertaken in collaboration with experts in universities and institutes around the world.We are now seeking an enthusiastic equine veterinary researcher with a strong interest in nutrition to join the company and to continue to developand manage the Mars equine research strategy and project portfolio through collaborations with family stakeholders, external partners and key opinion leaders. They will have the opportunity to develop and deliver the equine research strategy in line with Mars Horsecare businessrequirements and to undertake external activities, including presenting at key equine conferences, to help support Mars Horsecare's purpose of Making a better world for horses. Working alongside Mars Horsecare's senior leadership team the role holder will also have the chance to input into business strategy, support product and claim development where relevant, and provide associate training as well as veterinary and nutritional support to key customers when required. They will also be involved in various activities relating to the Mars equine ecosystem.Working initially with the current Director of Equine Science & Nutrition, Dr Pat Harris, who will provide appropriate mentoring and support, this is a unique opportunity for the right individual to have a global impact on the equine industry.Key Criteria:
