Job Description


An established commercial nursery is seeking a Glass House Manager to lead all aspects of glasshouse crop production across several nursery sites. This is a key operational role with responsibility for producing top-quality plants while ensuring efficiency, hygiene, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing plant production across glasshouse facilities
- Working closely with commercial teams to ensure timely procurement of materials
- Planning crop schedules, forecasts, and trial activity
- Maintaining control of pest, disease, and weed management programmes
- Ensuring full compliance with industry standards (e.g., LEAF, Red Tractor)
- Supervising and supporting crop production staff, including holiday and performance management
- Overseeing equipment use and site cleanliness across working areas
- Providing regular operational updates and end-of-season reporting
- Supporting internal training and sharing best practices in glasshouse operationsThe Company:
