GIS Supervisor/Administrator \xe2\x80\x93 Kingston, NY area

We are currently recruiting for a GIS Supervisor/Administrator working on a cutting-edge fiber network in the Hudson Valley, NY area \xe2\x80\x93 you will be based near Poughkeepsie, NY
Your responsibilities will include overseeing the configuration of the fiber management and GIS mapping system, as well as providing guidance and supervision to both internal and contracted GIS professionals. You will be responsible for generating CAD prints for permitting and construction purposes and making recommendations for necessary software systems and platforms.

Collaboration will be a key aspect of your role, as you will work closely with OSP engineers, Construction, Project Management, external A&E partners, vendors, and municipalities. You will oversee managing the permitting processes, submittals, and tracking, while also ensuring seamless interaction between GIS systems and other back-office databases and systems, working in collaboration with the OSS/BSS team.
Additionally, you will play an active role in automating processes whenever possible, utilizing scripting, programming, and similar tools. Providing support for physical network planning and network deployment strategies will also be part of your responsibilities. You are expected to be a continuous subject matter expert and a reliable resource that others can rely on for guidance and expertise.

The GIS Fiber Technician must have experience creating material lists and preparing material take-offs as needed. Previous experience utilizing Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) compliant Geographic Information System (GIS) Fiber Management and Project tools such as ArcGIS/FM, 3GISLive and/or Nexus Worx Fiber Management software for managing all OSP design information is a huge plus but not required.

Experience in GIS and physical inventory data management supporting communications. Experience with Vetro and Render, 3+ years working in GIS role. Experience turning up a GIS System and supervising a team
