General Operative/FLT Days

The General Operative/FLT is an internal role and part of the process line operations team. The role reports to the Team Leads but will also regularly interact with other process line operatives. Effective delivery of the role is vital in enabling the process and the necessary quality of the end product.

As part of a small team it is anticipated that the role will be flexible and adapt to different responsibilities of Innovate Recycle as necessary

Duties and Responsibilities

Within the allocated operating shift, duties include Ensuring the correct type, quality and uncontaminated feed stock is presented to the process line. Safe movement of goods around the warehouse. Supporting the efficient production operation of the process line and its constituent machinery parts and supporting machinery maintenance. Contributing to the maintenance of a clean and tidy working area. Agree and report on weekly key performance indicators (KPI) with Team Lead. Communicate clearly with the Team Lead area of responsibility and overall facility performance targets. Strict observation of company health and safety policy and guidelines within the factory and process line area - and as a contributor to the overall health and safety of the Innovate Recycle facility. Appropriate Training will be given Build a headline understanding of the core purposes of the business; recycling polypropylene and other materials from end-of-life carpet and linked products; and championing the circular economy, in the carpet industry and in the increasing use of recycled plastics.

A valid Counterbalance FLT licence ( not in-house licence)
