We\'re looking for a General Manager for a stunning coastal pub in Tresaith. Salary up to \xc2\xa340,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

Marston\'s is one of the UK\'s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Now, we\'re on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at The Ship Inn in Tresaith and lead the team to success!

About the pub

The Ship Inn is a stunning premium food business located right on Wales\' coastal path. Boasting spectacular views across Cardigan Bay, this site is just a stone\'s throw from one of Wales\' finest beaches, Tresaith Bay.

This business is a highly seasonal operation with sales increasing significantly throughout the summer months & bank holidays. Currently trading at an average of \xc2\xa317k per week in net sales, The Ship provides the perfect opportunity for a seasoned operator to take charge and continue to delight our guests.

The Ship has a fantastic reputation within the local area and has a strong social media presence as well as an established senior management team in place. The 4 hotel bedrooms have recently been refurbished and new garden furniture has recently been installed in the 120 cover garden!

Management accommodation is available in the form of a 1 bedroom flat located directly above the pub.

My induction with Marston\'s was tailored so I visited sites that were going to be similar to mine.

I spent time with a \'buddy\' manager from a nearby site - he was a great guy and really honest and talked to me about the culture of Marston\'s as well as the day to day running of the business.

My Area Manager, Nigel was really supportive and if he didn\'t have the answer he would pull on his network of experts to support.

Induction

Opening a new build pub

On the opening day there was so many people coming in but I wasn\'t worried as I had every type of support there to help it run smoothly. The whole board came down for a meal at my pub, the CEO and the Managing Director are really nice people and down to earth too!
