At Lomond Campers Ltd we manufacture premium camper vans from our workshop in Glenrothes, Fife.
As we transition from a new (5 years old) business to a sustainable, long term business we are looking for a motivated person with suitable experience to take up a new role as General Manager.
As a small team the General Manager will take over the day to day running of the business while supporting the workshop Manager and striving to offer our Customers a high level of service.
The essential skills for this post must include:
- An articulate, confident and positive minded individual who is able to speak with Customers and suppliers in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Previous management experience (or experience running a business).
- A high level of organisational skills is a must.
- Reliable and time efficient.
Desirable criteria:
- Experience working with spreadsheets (Google sheets) (although not necessary if you are the right candidate otherwise as training can be given).
- Experience working with Xero accounting software (although not necessary if you are the right candidate otherwise as training can be given).
- Previous practical type of experience in a similar industry IE worked in workshop previously.
- Ability and willingness to work Saturday morning shifts.

- Handling Customer calls and emails. Dealing with vehicle hand-overs, Customer viewings & conversion consultations.
- Creating and raising quotes and invoices using Xero software.
- Monitoring material stock levels via software and Customer orders. Ordering of materials in a timely manner to keep the workshop running efficiently. Handling calls and emails with suppliers. Monitoring material costs and preferred suppliers.
- Oversee projects (campervan conversions), ensure all material and labour available (inc upholstery workshop). Address any production issues. Monitor and plan work schedule.
- Oversee the workforce, addressing any issues.
- Oversee the workplace and facilities to maintain a high level of appearance and functionality, while addressing any issues.
The job will initially involve a training, hand-over and trial period after which you will be expected to work alone using your own initiative while supporting the workshop manager and reporting to the Director.

Starting from 16.00 per hour (33,280), experience dependant. Rates reviewed regularly.
