Job Description

Dawson Stone Masonry Ltd is currently seeking a motivated General Labourer to assist with various tasks on our construction site in Cardiff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our team with projects involving Stonework, Rendering, Extensions & Renovations, Plastering, Painting and more.

Key Responsibilities:

Work alongside renovation crews. Assist in renovations and repairs by providing support in tasks such as pointing, flashing, and general maintenance. Participate in the home improvements of our customers, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards. Aid in the construction of extensions to existing structures, following detailed instructions from supervisors. Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning up debris and waste materials. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. Effectively communicate with coworkers and supervisors to align tasks and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:

Prior experience in construction or a related field is preferred. Capable of lifting heavy objects and engaging in physically demanding tasks in diverse weather conditions. Demonstrate a solid work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a readiness to acquire new skills. Fundamental familiarity with construction tools and equipment, along with the capability to operate them safely. Knowledge of health and safety protocols on construction sites to mitigate accidents and injuries.
