Job Summary

Cooper & Westgate are looking for a skilled and reliable

Gas Safe registered plumber

to join our close-knit and supportive team. This is a full-time role, working on

first and second fix plumbing

inclduing kitchen and bathrooms, across domestic and light commercial projects in York and surrounding areas (within a 20-mile radius).

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, heating systems, and associated equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Diagnose faults in gas appliances and systems, providing effective solutions. Assemble components using hand tools and power tools as required. Perform plumbing tasks related to gas installations. Carry out heavy lifting when necessary for the installation or removal of equipment. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters, when necessary for integrated projects. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with industry standards and best practices.

Skills

Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to gas engineering. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems. Experience in plumbing tasks is advantageous.

Requirements:

Must be

Gas Safe registered

Experience in

1st and 2nd fix plumbing

Own tools required Full UK driving licence Professional, reliable, and able to work independently Strong communication and customer service skills NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent) Previous experience in both domestic and light commercial work

Pay: 38,174.00-39,976.00 per year
