Job Title - Gas Engineer (Service & Repair)




Location - Swindon




Salary - 38,000 - 41,000

per annum + company van and fuel card




Contract type - Permanent



Working hours - Full Time (39 hours, Monday to Friday 8.00am-16.30pm with a 15.30pm finish on a Friday)




You will participate in an out of hours emergency rota and attend call-outs as required.




About the role




You will be undertaking a range of service and maintenance works, repairing, or replacing items to maintain properties to a high standard, including producing gas safety certificates, in line with the role skills framework.


You will complete works in conjunction with all health and safety procedures, policies, and legislation.


You will work efficiently and deliver high standards of quality.


You will be working unsupervised and in occupied or unoccupied (void) properties and complying with the Code of Conduct.


You will be competent in the completion of reports, ordering materials and completing orders.


Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.




About you




You must have significant experience in technical engineering.


You will have ACS core accreditation in domestic gas with cookers and fires.


You must be Gas Safe Registered.


You will have experience with fault finding on modern condensing boilers.


You will be able to diagnose faults and rectify in a prompt and appropriate manner.


You must ensure the safe and proper use of all mechanical and non-mechanical plant and equipment under their direct control.


You will ensure that Equality and Diversity strategy is always fully implemented.


You must undertake training and development activities as instructed.


You will be required to assist on the out of hours rota, frequency to suit the needs of the business.
