We are a Legal Aid family law firm based in E9, East London, and we are seeking a dedicated
Caseworker
to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an
LLB graduate
who is looking to build a career in family law, gain meaningful client-facing experience, and contribute to supporting vulnerable individuals through legal proceedings.
You will be working under the supervision of an experienced solicitor on
Non-Molestation Order matters
funded through Legal Aid, handling a steady and structured caseload in a supportive environment.

Those who are empathetic, detail-oriented, and keen to support vulnerable clients in crisis situations
Key Responsibilities
Assist with a caseload of
Non-Molestation Order applications
Conduct client interviews and draft clear, detailed attendance notes
Prepare witness statements, evidence summaries, and legal bundles
Liaise with courts, counsel, and third-party agencies
Maintain accurate records and ensure Legal Aid compliance
Provide administrative and procedural support to the supervising solicitor
Requirements
Completed
LLB or equivalent legal degree
Strong drafting and communication skills
Highly organised and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion
Able to manage from
15 active cases
with ongoing supervision
Familiarity with CLIO case management systems (preferred, not essential)
Confident using Microsoft Office
A genuine interest in family law.
Location Notice - Must Live Within Bus Travel Reach of E9
Due to the nature of the work and the need for in-person attendance at our East London office, we
will only consider applicants who live within reasonable bus travel distance to E9
.
We
will not accept applications
from candidates who require travel by train or underground. This is to ensure that staff can attend without incurring excessive travel costs or time.
Remuneration
Base monthly pay 600
plus
performance-based bonus.
Full-time.
Self-employed contract (with support and training provided)
Pathway available for progression into a solicitor role
