Full-Time 1:1 Support Role - Y4 Girl with ADHD and Behavioural Needs

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and compassionate individual to work 1:1 with a Year 4 girl who has ADHD and presents with behavioural difficulties. She is academically able but struggles with concentration, impulsivity, and managing her behaviour throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide consistent, calm, and firm behaviour management, using clear boundaries and positive reinforcement. Observe and understand the pupil's behaviour patterns, using your initiative to preempt potential triggers and intervene appropriately. Support the pupil with regular movement breaks to help with self-regulation. Offer structured and engaging support during lunch times to maintain routine and prevent behavioural incidents. Keep the pupil on track with learning, ensuring she remains focused and engaged in class activities. Work closely with the class teacher and wider team to implement effective strategies tailored to the pupil's needs.
The Right Candidate:

Experienced in working with children with ADHD and behavioural challenges. Skilled in behaviour management, de-escalation techniques, and proactive intervention. Highly observant, responsive, and able to anticipate situations before they escalate. Patient, empathetic, and consistent, with a nurturing but firm approach. Confident using initiative and adapting strategies as needed throughout the day.
