Job Description

Nanny required for care of three children, two boys and newborn. This position is a mixture of shared care and sole charge (whilst mum is on maternity leave). The standard working hours are 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional babysitting (circa. 1/2 nights a month). A competent car driver is essential, and a vehicle is provided for nursery duties, but sole use can also be negotiated. The accommodation will be self-contained and consists of a bedroom in an annex away from the main house, there is also a separate kitchen/living space. The family also employ a part time cleaner, have dogs and chickens. The boys love being outdoors, both in the garden, at local parks and love the activity \'foraging\' fruit and veg, whether in the garden, blackberries up the lane or at the local pick-your-own. An adventurous Nanny with a passion for outdoors and planning fun outdoor activities for the children is a must. The eldest is at school for four days a week and the two-year-old will attend a pre-school for a few hours a week. They have active social calendars, play dates, various classes including swimming and gymnastics. The family are looking for a proactive, warm, and caring nanny, who is a good communicator and professional, with a kind and fair approach to discipline. The family values good manners. A nanny who has had professional training (e.g. Norland, Chiltern etc.) would be highly desirable, but not essential as long as the candidate has experience as a nanny and good references. Typical nursery duties are required to include cooking healthy meals, arranging age-related activities, and assisting with the children\xe2\x80\x99s development. The successful candidate will be offered 28 days holiday per annum including bank holidays. Start date is ASAP and salary up to \xc2\xa340K gross per annum depending on experience .
