Software Developer

The Zonal group are one of the UK\xe2\x80\x99s largest technology providers to the hospitality industry.

Our products are used by over 16,000 pubs, restaurants, and hotels. Customers include national brands like Pizza Express and All Bar One.

What you will do

You will be involved in the product development life cycle, playing a significant role in delivering innovative solutions that are changing the way we all interact with pubs, restaurants, and hotels.

Main Duties:

• You will collaborate closely with other engineers and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team
• You will collaborate closely with the Delivery team to help ensure the delivery is in scope and on time
• You will help the team and contribute to the plan, design, and shape responsive solutions
• With your help, the team will ensure that our customer\xe2\x80\x99s experience is the absolute best it can be.
• You will be responsible for owning and managing your own personal learning and objectives.
• Bind our front and back-end services together and monitor, test and continuously optimize your designs.
• You will assist in the design of the products
• You will help coach and develop the Junior Developers in the team.

Skills Required:

• You will have worked extensively with C#, .Net, Visual Studio.
• You will have an awareness of AGILE principles.
• Have experience working with SQL
• Have an understanding of current and emerging trends in the tech industry
• Experienced with modern coding, unit testing, debugging, and code review techniques.
• We\xe2\x80\x99d like you to have an excellent understanding and industry experience of object-oriented programming
• An awareness of design patterns and an understanding of S.O.L.I.D principles
• Experienced with modern coding, testing, debugging and automation techniques
• Have experience building distributed systems, preferably using a micro service approach
• You have experience of working with high throughput, highly concurrent systems
• Have experience in integrating systems with rich, complex, real-time third-party APIs
