We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team in our award winning chip shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of fried foods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. This role is essential in delivering delicious meals that meet our customers' expectations and contribute to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients for frying, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables or meats as required. Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper disposal of waste. Assist with meal preparation by collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen operations. Help train new kitchen staff on proper frying techniques and safety protocols.

Skills

Proficient in food preparation techniques with a strong understanding of culinary practices. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other cooks and kitchen staff. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Job hours 4pm - 9pm. Role required every Sunday. Hours are negotiable, can work around other employment, additional hours available at other sites

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
