We are looking for a friendly person who will be responsible for bar service, Front of House duties, and serving of evening meals. Hours of 3pm till 9pm Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.

Checking-in of residents is required so some computer work is necessary. You need to be able to respond politely to telephone enquiries regarding meal bookings and room reservations. Once relevant probation period is achieved we may ask that you do the locking-up of the hotel bar.

The individual we are searching for is the first impression of the George & Dragon Hotel so a warm welcome must be given to both locals and residents whilst being customer focused at all times.

Training will be given for our specific requirements but experience in the bar sector is essential. Cellar experience is not necessary as full training on cellar duties will be provided - limited heavy lifting duties are required. Front of House experience is desirable.

Applicants must maintain a smart appearance, be polite and have a welcoming attitude, uniform shirts will be provided. A light meal is provided during the shift.

We are a small but very professional team with a friendly approach to both team members and customers. Staff rotas are prepared usually 2 weeks in advance.

Using one's own initiative is essential as hospitality can be unpredictable! This is a responsible position and therefore a suitable attitude to the work, other team members & customers must match up to this job role.
