Duties
Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
Assist with seating arrangements and manage reservations efficiently.
Provide menu information, including daily specials, and answer any guest inquiries.
Take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff, ensuring timely food preparation.
Monitor food safety standards during service and assist in maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any issues that may arise.
Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately, utilising basic maths skills as needed.
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and presentation in line with hospitality industry standards.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with food preparation processes and food safety regulations is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality service.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
A proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating the ability to help others when needed.
