Freelance Chef

to join our kitchen team. Specialising in modern British cuisine with a focus on sustainability and local suppliers, we offer an exceptional dining experience in a lively and stylish setting.

As a Freelance Chef, you will play a key role in assisting the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency, presentation, and flavour. You will be expected to bring your creativity, expertise, and passion for food to the role, working with fresh, seasonal ingredients to create memorable dining experiences.

Responsibilities



Food Preparation:

Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards, ensuring consistency in quality and presentation.

Menu Development:

Contribute to menu planning and development, showcasing seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques.

Kitchen Support:

Assist with stock control, preparation, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service and optimal kitchen operations.

Quality Control:

Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with company policies.

Service Delivery:

Ensure timely and efficient delivery of dishes during service, maintaining a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Cost Management:

Assist in managing food costs, portion control, and waste reduction.

Ideal Candidate



Experience:

Proven experience as a Chef in a high-end, fast-paced kitchen, ideally in a similar environment.

Creativity:

A passion for cooking and a creative approach to modern British cuisine.

Knowledge:

Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and the use of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.

Flexibility:

Ability to work on a freelance basis with a flexible schedule.

Team Player:

Ability to collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.

Attention to Detail:

Commitment to maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen organisation.

Efficiency:

Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure during busy service periods.

Pay: From 20.00 per hour

Schedule:

Monday to Friday Weekend availability
Work Location: In person
