Who are we?

Based in Nottinghamshire, at the heart of the East Midlands, Infinite AV Ltd is a specialist in the supply, installation and maintenance of high-quality Sound, Vision, Lighting and CCTV equipment. We operate on a Nationwide scale in order to provide full coverage to the UK within various sectors and our current and previous clientele includes schools, pubs/bars, nightclubs, restaurants, leisure/holiday parks etc

We currently have a core team of employed engineers and a database of tried and tested subcontractors that we call on as required - we're looking to increase our contracted capacity due to expansion. Our contractors may work exclusively in a certain region or may be available for nationwide work.

Contractors must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team and should be able to demonstrate that they can use your own initiative when required. Motivated and enthusiastic, contractors will be required to deliver excellent customer service to our customers, observe health and safety requirements and work effectively with our existing team to provide field-based response to either reactive maintenance callouts and/or new installations (nationwide).

Rates of pay will be discussed at interview depending on role, experience and location. Our standard range is from 150-325 per day.

This position is for a freelance engineer - you should already be working as a freelance engineer with up-to-date insurances, training, own vehicle and tools.

Primary Duties:-

Attending callouts to various faults relating to sound, vision, lighting and CCTV equipment. Diagnosing faults on site to try and determine the cause of the fault. Carrying out appropriate remedial action to resolve issues on site. Explaining to customers what remedial works have been carried out and if further action is required. Keeping the office apprised of all developments on site and what further action, if any, is required. Attending sites in order to fulfil purchase orders and install new equipment. Attending sites in order to carry out planned preventative maintenance. Ensuring that signed paperwork is obtained at all venues. Ensuring that photographs are taken at all venues. Ensuring that work is logged appropriately on our case management system. Ensuring that clients' policies and procedures are adhered to including, but not limited to, sign-in/out procedures and completing permit to works, electronic job sign-off, callout authorisation limits etc. Must comply with all health and safety/insurance requirements. Keeping accurate records (e.g. mileage logs, diary, expenses etc). Maintaining the professional image of the company by being well-presented and in the correct company uniform and displaying a professional attitude at all times.

Essential skills:

Previous experience of maintenance/installation of audio visual equipment. Previous experience of maintenance/installation of lighting equipment. Previous experience of maintenance/installation of CCTV equipment. Previous experience of programming sound/lighting equipment. Efficient, methodical and organised in dealing with all aspects of administration. Confident in meeting and conversing with clients. Ability to maintain confidentiality because we deal with commercially sensitive information on a daily basis. Comfortable working at height (i.e. ladders, scaffold etc) Own vehicle and tools Public/Products Liability insurance Full UK Driving Licence
