Franchise Financial Controller - Jaguar Land Rover (JLR)
92,500 per annum
This is a field-based role, requiring travel to various sites as required.

As the Franchise Financial Controller for JLR, you will lead the division on all finance related matters, embedding a professional and collaborative culture, whilst driving the Group 1 UK finance agenda towards growth and enhanced performance.
You will act as a business partner to support on the delivery of budgeted targets, and be a role model for the finance teams, sharing best practice and continuously demonstrating strong business acumen to help develop others.

What You'll Do Day to Day:
You will be responsible for a range of key duties, including but not limited to the following;
Leading, developing and coaching Store Accountants, Assistant Franchise Financial Controllers, and on-site finance team members to ensure efficient day-to-day finance operation at site
Play an active role in reviewing and assessing the financial impact of the Franchise ensuring decisions are fully considered and legally sound
Forecasting, reporting & analysis of franchise investments, commercial initiatives, franchise cash-flow and capital investment
Drive and encourage the continuous improvement of end to end accounting activities, meeting relevant timeframes
Provide financial insight on investment strategy, managing both cost and capital investment, tracking benefits and providing analysis where required
Effective management of working capital, liaising with Shared Services and other senior finance teams
Compliance with auditing standards and Group1 accounting policies and procedures
Lead a culture that motivates all colleagues to high performance and to the achievement of core business objectives

Extensive experience in Finance, ideally in Automotive Retail
Previous experience of leading and managing large teams
Confident in supporting and constructively challenging the senior operational team to drive business success
Ability to simplify, summarise and problem solve complex accounting and process issues
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships at all levels
