It's an incredibly exciting time for Bristol Airport, and we are looking for an FP&A Business Partner to join us on this exciting journey on a 6-month fixed term contract.

The Financial Planning and Analysis Business Partner will proactively partner with managers and contract managers across the business to support decision-making that optimises returns on investment and operating expenditure, providing forecasts, investment appraisals, and targeted analysis.

We're looking for a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with at least 3 years 'post qualification experience, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business and experienced at challenging leaders effectively to guide commercial decisions.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES



Partner with senior stakeholders forecasting the outlook on key contracts and profit and loss lines, providing insightful support and analysis to monitor financial performance in their area. Contribute to the annual budget and business plan by compiling contractual and performance information, building and updating models, generating outputs and reviewing with stakeholders. Take responsibility for monthly cash flow forecasting and debt modelling, updating models and reviewing outputs with stakeholders. Contribute to the production of monthly board reports. Embed efficiencies within the finance team by contributing to the implementation, definition and embedding of the Adaptive Planning system. Take responsibility for creating reports and dashboards in Adaptive Planning and Power BI to enable self-service performance information for stakeholders around the business. Assist with the definition of business metrics into reports. Be responsible for appraising project investments including the calculation of NPV, IRR, discounted paybacks.

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Essential skills



A qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with at least 3 years post qualification experience. Experience of building financial forecasting, budgeting and/or contract models using Excel. Understanding of financial accounting principles, knowledge of financial statements and tax treatment Experience or a desire to work with financial systems such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Power BI or Tableau. Have an ability/desire to learn new techniques and engage proactively with change. Analytical, highly numerate, logical thinker, inquisitive with a keen eye for detail. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to add value as both an individual contributor and an active team member. Good organisation and prioritisation skills. Good communication skills, able to explain complex issues to non- financial colleagues at all levels across the business. Able to write engaging reports which clearly demonstrate conclusions and actions. Proven ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business. Experienced at challenging leaders and guiding commercial decisions.

Desirable Skills



Experienced in business partnering Educated to degree standard with a numerical focus including Mathematics A-Level Experience of project appraisals including use of Discounted Cash Flows Experience of process improvement and project management Knowledge of airports, travel & tourism, aviation industries
