We are now looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring foundation teacher to join our Lifeskills faculty based in Oxford. The Lifeskills team work to support learners who face barriers to education, including learners with special educational needs, asylum seekers and refugees.
You'll be teaching 16-19 learners GCSE Maths as a 1-year resit programme in addition to a range of subjects at foundation level, including careers, personal social development and digital literacy.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning.
This is a fixed-term role working 18.5 hours per week (0.5 FTE) until July 2026.
What do you need to be a successful Foundation Teacher at Activate Learning?
We are looking for people who can act as role models for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Successful candidates will have experience in careers guidance, wellness, delivering maths at functional skills and GCSE level, and the enthusiasm to share this with our students.
Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the industry experience and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.
